Where lava meets the sea. This is Hawaii's active lava flow in action. I could not get closer with out hiking in. Notice the steam plume. Smoke and steam fill the coast here. The park descends like 4000 ft to the sea. Posted by Picasa

Ozzy Osbourne's Road to Nowhere. This lava crossed the road in 2003, closing it for ever as it appears. Posted by Picasa

A few from a crevass just a few feet from where we parked the car at South Point. The water is so clear. Posted by Picasa

Lava Tube at Volcano National Park in Hawaii. This was cool. The tube was formed by lava. Posted by Picasa

This is a triple waterfall along Hwy19 to Hilo. I forgot the name but it was discovered in 1995. Posted by Picasa

This is a around the other side on the south part of the island of Hawaii. This is the southern most point of the United States. The waves were like 30 feet here at times, so the locals tell me. Posted by Picasa

Hawaii's Volcano National Park. This is a few over a cliff down the beach. It was windy. The cliff drops maybe 70 feet. The black sand is formed from the lava. This whole cliff is a lava flow. Posted by Picasa

This was cool an old receipt I found in my basement from 1939 from a hardware store on J Street. The Hardware Store no longer exists. The building is now "The Beat" an independent music store. Posted by Picasa
